Hi! Iā€™m Sam (she/her)!

Do you feel like you haven't always clicked with other therapists? Have you been interested in going to therapy before but had a strong fear that they wouldn't "get" you? Have you brought up past experiences or things you were passionate about in a session and felt like you received a blank stare? If so, we might be a great fit!

As a neurodivergent person, member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a big geek who gets very invested in my special interests, and someone who used to work in the arts, I understand that finding a therapist that really gets you can be quite difficult. While our sessions will be tailored to your specific needs, interests, and whatever goals you're hoping to accomplish, you can rest assured that I operate from a nonjudgmental stance and am always interested in getting to deeply know my clients and discover what really matters most to them.

Outside of being a therapist, you might find me going to concerts, birdwatching, playing video games, watching all kinds of movies, making both regular clothing and cosplaying, and falling down online rabbit holes to learn everything I can about topics I love.

My clients would describe me as humorous, warm, and not afraid to challenge them if it will lead to growth or insight. I always try to strike a balance in my work with clients between neither being too fluffy and nor giving you a dry, jargon-filled lecture.

If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, coping with traumatic experiences, trying to balance being a creative, innovative person with the demands of capitalism, or feeling like a person existing in a world that doesn't always seem like a great fit for you, I'd love to connect with you and see what kind of work we can do together.
